I had an exceptionally great time at DevCon this year. Approximately 1,100 FileMaker enthusiasts gathered at the San Francisco Hilton, including Marc Adler and me representing IT Solutions. I stayed busy chatting with some of the top speakers for the new video interview series “Five Minutes with Philly FileMaker” and networking with as many new friends as possible, but I did manage to attend a handful of hand-picked sessions. Here’s a breakdown of what I witnessed!

Matt Navarre, MSN Media and FileMaker Talk, presented a fantastic session at FileMaker DevCon on optimizing searches and how to add a Google-like search feature to any FileMaker solution. I chatted with Matt on Friday afternoon (8/14) about fmSearchResults, a downloadable solution that you can integrate into your solution to improve searching functionality which is available at www.seedcode.com. We’re excited to start implementing fmSearchResults into our solutions at IT Solutions.
